Elle Kennedy

Canadian author of new adult sports romance and college campus drama

Competitive college hockey rinks, energetic campus banter and protective romantic partnerships define Elle Kennedy’s contemporary sports romances. Born in Toronto, Canada, in 1982, Kennedy worked in journalism before publishing romantic suspense and college fiction. Her breakout Off-Campus series, launched with The Deal, follows Briar University hockey players finding unexpected romances with driven, sharp-witted students, establishing modern college romance tropes. Spinoff series such as Briar U and Campus Diaries, featuring novels like The Dixon Rule, continue her signature mix of athletic ambition, found family and emotionally open male protagonists. Her 2016 novel The Score won a RITA Award from Romance Writers of America. Readers exploring college sports romance can start with The Deal.
