Description
Olivia Prior grew up at Merilance School for girls with nothing of her family history except her mother’s journal, and the journal itself unravels into something closer to madness the further it goes. A letter finally invites her to Gallant, the estate that journal keeps circling back to, and V.E. Schwab builds the gothic horror from there — a house with its own rules about what’s allowed to cross between one world and the next. Illustrated throughout by Manuel Sumberac, it’s a departure into younger-reader horror from an author better known for adult fantasy.
