Escape into a heartwarming and beautifully grounded queer cozy fantasy that pairs the comforting, slow-paced charm of rural life simulation games with the magical ambiance of an animated masterpiece. The story introduces Oaklin Nettlewood, a non-binary protagonist who spent six agonizing years trapped under a brutal mind-control spell, forced to execute terrible deeds for an evil, world-ending cult. Once the realm's legendary heroes defeat the grand villain and shatter the remaining enchantments, Oaklin escapes to a neglected farm located at the edge of a quiet, idyllic village named Mossley’s Rest. Haunted by a fractured memory and severe emotional trauma, Oaklin swears a solemn vow never to utilize magic again. However, the no-nonsense ghost of a grandmother haunting the farmhouse has entirely different ideas, pushing Oaklin out of isolation and back into the vibrant community. As they navigate the unexpected challenges of keeping a farm running, they build lasting friendships with a local bard and an enchanting baker, alongside a sweet romance with a paladin-librarian. Perfect for fans of gentle slice-of-life fantasy, this uplifting narrative presents a moving exploration of guilt, self-forgiveness, and the collective effort required to cultivate a brand-new home.
