Tite Kubo

Japanese manga creator of Bleach

Born in Japan in 1977, he is best known for Bleach, which follows Ichigo Kurosaki into the world of Soul Reapers. Its fights, changing alliances and large cast unfold across an extended sequence of volumes, rather than self-contained picture-book stories. Kubo also created Zombiepowder. and Burn the Witch. Bleach began serialisation in 2001 and received the Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category in 2005.
