Jojo Moyes

British author of emotionally resonant contemporary novels, life-altering love and resilience

Tear-jerking romances, moral quandaries and transformative human connections distinguish the internationally beloved contemporary fiction of Jojo Moyes. Born in London in 1969, Moyes worked as a journalist for The Independent for a decade before turning to full-time fiction. Her breakout emotional triumph, Me Before You, exploring the unexpected bond between eccentric caregiver Louisa Clark and quadriplegic Will Traynor, became a global publishing phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture and sequels After You and Still Me. Novels like The Giver of Stars and Someone Else's Shoes highlight historical sisterhood and second chances. Readers seeking deeply moving, character-rich drama should start with Me Before You.
