Carissa Broadbent

American romantasy author of brutal magical tournaments, vampire courts and fierce heroines

Deadly gladiator trials, ruthless vampire royalty and morally complex romances define the gripping dark fantasy worlds of Carissa Broadbent. Writing from Rhode Island, Broadbent began crafting imaginative tales in her childhood before storming the romantasy genre with original worldbuilding and fierce, battle-tested heroines. Her smash-hit Crowns of Nyaxia saga, beginning with The Serpent and the Wings of Night and The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King, combines brutal combat in the goddess Nyaxia's tournament with searing emotional intimacy. Her War of Lost Hearts trilogy further displays her talent for epic political intrigue. Readers craving dark, high-stakes romantasy should start with The Serpent and the Wings of Night.
