Description
Walter Isaacson got two years of largely unrestricted access to Elon Musk, and the result runs to 688 pages and roughly 95 chapters. It starts in Pretoria, South Africa, with a childhood shaped by violence that Isaacson traces forward into the adult who built Tesla, SpaceX, SolarCity, Neuralink, and the Boring Company. The book also covers Musk’s purchase of Twitter and its rebrand as X, including the free-speech fight that came with it. It was shortlisted for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year in 2023.
